In this Stephen King story, which aired as television miniseries in three two-hour parts, Dr. Joyce Reardon (Nancy Travis) is a professor at the University of Washingtonn in Seattle who is determined to prove that supernatural occurrences are real. Using six specialists, each of whom possess a different form of psychic ability, the scientist leads her group into Rose Red, a haunted mansion that has grown in size since it was built in 1907. From there, the film because a wonderfully delirious ghost story, using the bizarre settings contained within the gigantic house to procure constant new surprises.

Longfellow Deeds (Adam Sandler) is content to run his pizzeria in the cozy New Hampshire hamlet of Mandrake Falls. In this charmingly patriotic British comedy based on a true story, two WWII army dentists invade occupied France--all on their own. Scrawny dreamer Leslie Cuthbertson (Leo Bill) can`t concentrate on battlefield dentistry lectures; rather he daydreams about becoming a combat soldier. Sergeant Peter King (Kenneth Cranham) has devoted himself to his dental corps career, and scoffs at Leslie`s inability to accept his position. Everything changes, however, when the Sergeant loses a promotion. Feeling washed up, King recruits the distractible Leslie in a plan to go AWOL and destroy a German radar post. Despite their bumbling, the duo manages to make history while proving exactly how brave dentists can be.
